My experience much as April 5 below - supposedly Microsoft assist - took over phone to "fix" - supposedly installed hacker protection - very suspicious dialog - called me back on number above - not original number. Block on credit card and fraud alert at bank.

I looked up number for Skype support and it gave this number. I called and reception bad, Person said they'd call me back on my number. Then they had me download a Gotoassist so they could screen share, But the screen share took over my curser and I could not see what he was doing. He said don't touch your keyboard I am working to fix your issue. I got suspicious and turned off wifi to disconnect my laptop and hung up on him. I immediately changed my computer password and bank account passwords
