August 28, 2020. I received an email from Amazon for an order of a Sony TV going to Texas which I did not order. This number was listed to report fraud. I got a guy with a foreign accent that did not speak English very well at all. He put me on hold and then came back and said this was a virus and that I should expect more fraudulent actively from hackers. I asked who I should call or the name of the virus and he said he could fix it if I gave him access to my computer. Had me going for a minut
August 17, 2020 Received an e-mail order confirmation from Amazon for an order that I did not place. Dialed the number shown in red for the "fraud protection team." Got a foreign accent and some questionable conversation. Told the person he was a scam. Hung up and called Amazon Customer Service, There was no record that Amazon had sent the e-mail nor that I had purchased anything on Aug. 17.
Sent me an invoice supposedly from Amazon Said if it was fraudulent to call. I called and before we got too far I stopped them and said I wanted to speak to a supervisor. He hung up.
