Bought land out right. Then got this in the mail with my name wrong. So, I knew it had to be junk. Said my “loan” amount which was correct total for the land I bought. “We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to protecting your new mortgage. Please call (866) 485-7244
Thank You”

Got a "check" like letter in the mail stating that they have been trying to reach me regarding a matter of importance as it relates to protecting my new mortgage. Please call (866-485-7244). This is a scam.
Got a letter in the mail saying the following, "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to protecting your new mortgage. Please call (866) 485-7244" It looked official, But since I know I don't have a mortgage I suspected scam. The comments from other folks seem to bear that out.
Received nail via USPS re: mortgage, We don't have a mortgage, Let alone a mortgage!!! We own home in another state, Free and clear of any mortgage!!!! Scammers!
Received this scam in the mail after I started a new mortgage, Saying they had urgent/important information. No information on who they are other than a PO Box. Do not fall for it.
Rec’d notification in mail that they are trying to reach me regarding my mortgage, However I also do not have a mortgage. Notice states info obtained through public records. It appears to be from an insurance agent.
Same experience as others — letter in mail had no identifiable info of who it was from (what legit agency or company does that?) and only this number, Saying it was "urgent" that I call about my mortgage. Obviously, DO NOT CALL.
Obviously a scam since there is no mortgage on the property... Probably just scour public records of recent sales and send this stuff out.... Stay away
If you get a letter in the mail with this number. Do not call them. The Mortgage ID in the top right doesn't match up with what's on the paperwork you did with your bank. This is a phishing scam. If you are not sure what phishing is, Look it up.
Received an unsolicited piece of mail from an unidentified sender (address is a PO box) with faking Mortage ID no. The letter said I should call this number relating "protecting my new mortgage". Seems very suspicious".
