I just got a letter in the mail with a Wells Fargo logo and address on the outside of the envelope. When I opened and read it, the letter stated that they sent a check for $16 and it shows it wasn't cashed yet. So they were wanting me to call the number on the letter. The it was kind of threatening trying to scare people into thinking that if they didn't cash the check they would have to report the refund as unclaimed property to your state of residence or state treasurer. Received a check in the mail for $23. 00 that’s printed on the same printer paper as the statement doc. Claim they are Wells Fargo. I image they want someone to deposit the check so that they can empty of their account…total scam. Do not deposit that’s check!

Continual calls from Cambodia & US saying something about a check they sent.

A man keeps calling stating to be from wells Fargo debit department about a check they sent. After calling the Wells Fargo customer service number on the website they stated its a scam.

This African American female SCAMMER uses the name “Champagne” claiming they are a Wells Fargo representative reaching out about a check from your account! When asked can I go into a branch instead and check on this they replied “It has to be on the phone to confirm in our system here”. Uh, yeah, no thanks! Wells Fargo will never reach out like this! Be very careful as this number is 100% a SCAMMER doing ILLEGAL activity!
