If you are a current Telus customer, The call is not a scam. It's a marketing offer for Telus Home Security products. To be removed from Telus' marketing calls, Call Telus and make the request.
Received a call on my cell from this number every day in the past 2 weeks. Name does not appear on caller ID. Does not leave a message. Calls usually after 6 PM EST. Likely scam froma non legit company.
This is 100% a scam.
They claim to be calling from Telus to offer automation and security services. They clearly get your name and number from a data leak at some point (not that difficult).
They then start probing about what security features you have and trying to get you to sign up for their non-existent services.
Looking up this number it is in no way affiliated with Telus.
Just got a call tonight... Saying they were Koodo... Don't buy it... Koodo has caller id and doesn't have strange sounds through their lines. Hang up ;)
I get this scam number calling me at least twice a month... Its different each time, This time, The CRA is apperently going to file charges against me *sigh*
Before, It was a free cruise, Before that it was about 'west jet points' and before that it was entirely in Chinese.
