Same here, The woman took my DOB, Too bad. She claimed that she is from TD that offer a identity theft protection service. The service is $19. 99/month and they will send me report regularly. She said she will send me an email with all the detail but I never receive an email.
Women claimed she word for td bank and tried to get my personal info she asked my date of birth which is something td never asked me over the phone! DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION
Like others, It was the same they tried to convince me about their service from TD... They asked for my name and I asked back don’t you have it? So the female passed it on to a male almost immediately! Who confirmed my full name and address, I did agree to it coz they had it already then back to the female to “finish the call”. She asked for my DOB and I hung up. The weird thing was that the female said she got my number from our contact in TD and took her name. That’s the reason I entertained
Caller will mention that they are calling on behalf of TD Bank offering the services for credit checks.
They'll try to confirm your name, Address, Email etc to get access to your personal details to scam.
I called TD bank and they confirmed that they do not outsource their service to any vendor and they do not call the customers directly (or call very rarely).
Do not give your personal info, They will have your name and zip code but not other details.
Called claiming to be from TD, Asked to confirm their information they had of me on file, They only had my name & address. When they asked for email was when I hung on them.
Probably a scam, They said the represent TD Bank. They hit me early in the morning, I was also too sleepy to be fully aware that banks would never contact you through phone for security/personal info :^)
Phone call started with "Hello is (your name) here"? And like a XXXX I responded yes that's me, And it hanged up... Probably recorded my answer and voice in order to scam me somewhere...
I was XXXXX enough to fall for their scam. They keep getting better at their scams. They claim to call from TD bank. If you have been scammed by revealing you're personal information, You are not alone. Just stay safe from people like this.
100% scam, I was XXXXX enough to fall on the scam cause I was too sleepy. Someone saying they’re a TD representative, Had some correct data of mine so I was naive and confirmed the data. On the following weekend my credit card was used on a very expensive purchase.
Woman claiming to be from TD selling a fraud prevention monthly subscription, But no caller ID and being very persistent about the "free 30 day trial" after telling her multiple times that I wasn't interested was very suspicious.
Lady called saying she was FamTell calling behalf of TD. Said she wanted to ask some questions. Told her I was late for a meeting. And she hastily said she’d call back. Told her not to. Disgusting.
The lady asked for my name and credit card number. She said she worked for tdcanada trust and the call was in regard to my visa card. I then said she was a crook and then I hung up the phone.
Fake call.. They claimed to be calling from TD. Asked my address, My full name n den started asking my date of birth.. The voice tone was very suspicious...
The girl introduced herself XXXXX XXXXXX and said that she works in the TD bank, And told about the theft of information. But TDs always call from official numbers...
