Sane exact message reported by multiple other users. Name is xxxxxx, left "several messages," someone applied on my behalf SSI benefits, urges to call this number back. Definitely not safe.
Called from 310-620-8132. Call back # is 844-690-8191. Says her name is Christine and that she is calling to help me apply for Social Security Disability Benefits. She says shes left me "several voicemails." They call all hours of the day and night, from various numbers. Its a scam because they are NOT the SSA. Only the SSA can help you apply for benefits.
Trying to sell SSI benefits they say I or someone on my behalf requested. Use several different phone numbers, all with my local area code and prefix (last 4 change from call-to-call). Voicemail says to call this 844 number.
Trying to con you by claiming you requested info on social security disability. They don't call from a legitimate number and spoof where they are calling from to some random number in your area.
Ugh! I called back after hearing the 3 messages from Christine to let them know that they had the wrong number for the person they were trying to reach. I should have known better!
When the person picked up and used my correct name - I figured out that it was a fake and hung up right away. Still kicking myself!
Local number showed up, XXXXXX is calling everyone apparently. "Sorry to bother you, This is XXXX from nation disability, And I've already left you several voicemails regarding Social Security disability, Please call me back at 844-690-8191 if you were still interested...."
Used a local number, Showed up as a local No-Name caller, And asked for you to call this 844 number to respond. The Social security office will use their official number and your full name when needing info on any SS matter.
3rd message from XXXXXX today at National Disability saying I or someone on my behalf (really?) inquired about disability. She left 844-690-XXXX as the call back number but came from a local area code 813-733-XXXX.
Woman left voice message on 7/28 & 7/29/2020 stating its important for me to call to apply for social security disability. I know this is a scam and did not call back.
She said to call a i requested disability - to help w/ application - then added if already receiving benefits then could ignore the message... If she's in training for Scamming 101, Then she failed - i didn't return call
