I can not believe this. I actually googled PayPal to report a scam and when I could use my password I decided to go to the contact part of their webpage. I just pressed to dial it and it took me to this number! I was on the phone with these ppl for 44 minutes!!!
PayPal no longer uses this number and has had it de-listed (fast busy) and it is now officially DISCONNECTED. If you received a call from this number and you did NOT use the old PayPal callback feature on their website, then the call is BOGUS, PHISHING, and a SCAM. This number is Paypals own customer service number, it is listed on their website.
The people reporting it as a scam work for a phishing ring that is being investigated currently.
This number is PayPal, It's on their website and they use it for callbacks. It's the number you get when you click on Call Me. However, I can believe that they listen in on conversations with your credit card companies and I know they do call people and fish for information including your social security number. This is because PayPal is a crooked company engaged in sanctified scams. At the moment (March 2020) this phone number appears to be non-working, Even though PayPal still gives it to you
I was talking with my CC provider Capital One. We heard background disturbance and ended call. Within 3 minutes, Call came from this number stating "Mr.... Is there anything else we can help you with your Credit One acct"?
I hung up immediately, Not Credit One. These people already knew I had placed a call, Who I called, And were undoubtably listening to conversation. Law enforcement notified, Active case open.
