Bogus email re: Geek squad maintenance contract

Online chat didn't help - calling the Best Buy customer service line didn't help.

Got e-mail reporting the Geek Squad service contract about to renew. I called them. Foreign guy said go on line and fill out form to cancel. Did not ask for info. Bogus call.

In email claiming to be from Geeksquad on Oct 31 2020, Claims expiring service contract, Not true

Just got the email today saying my $299. 00 service contract renewed today. Not true.

BS email about "remind you that your Geek squad Annual Maintenance Service is expiring" for $299. Never used them... Total scam!

I received the same email from Geek Squad regarding an $299. 99 auto renewal service contract. I’ve never used Geek Squad.

I recieved an email saying, Dear Customer, That should have given it away as my name was not used, That they were from Geek Squad- service contract for $299. 99 and you need to call to cancel. Scam call saying that they were from Geek Squad- service contract for $299. 99 and you need to call to cancel. We have done business with Geek Squad before so I called. Beware! The Indian guy who answered tried to get me to give him access to my computer remotely in order to cancel. When I refused, He hung up on me.

I got the exact same email regarding a Geek Squad service contract.

I received an email stating I would be charged $299. 99 to renew my Geek Squad Annual Maintenance Service. Like the other post here, I do not have anything with the Geek Squad. The email did not identify a company. The email gave instructions to call this number to cancel.

Number listed on a suspicious email saying they were going to automatically renew our Geek Squad Annual Maintenance Service for $299. 99. If we wanted to cancel we could call this number. We don't have anything with Geek Squad.
