The comment above is part of the scam. Thus number has been popping up lately due to it being near the holidays. Many ppl are questioning its legitimacy so they (scammer) are actively going on sites saying it real. Go to ups OFFICIAL site for hiring info.

I work for UPS and can confirm that this is our recruitment center number. I do understand getting random calls asking for SSN or DL# is a bit shady but it's legit (if you have applied on the UPS website).

After clicking a secure link from UPS sent to your email... To submit your application online at www. Upsjobs. Com.... You get a Congratulations, you have successfully submitted your Application! And it Automatically sets you up an In Person Interview with a date and time at the UPS center you are applying to work at. It asks you to click a button that says "book it". So my In Person interview was set for the very next morning at 830am it showed. Then below that info it stated : We have an immed

After applying on website I was told that I would be contacted by this number regarding my background check. Was called and asked for my S. S. # and driver's license number. I've worked at UPS in the past as a seasonal helper and never went through this. Definitely a scam.
