I know for a fact that I haven't given any of my student loan providers or the Department of Education my cell phone number so was immediately suspicious. "Valerie" calling to give me my options about student loan forgiveness and something about making sure my account doesn't have a tax offset. Whatever the hell that is. Anyway, Voicemail left did not even state my name and there is no such thing as "Federal Student Loan Assistance Center." At least not that I can find.
