Got two calls 17 minutes apart with different voices saying that I needed to call them back because of "pending claims against me" or from "creditors that were overdue". One was a "John Faisil" at Ext 106 (not searchable on any search engine or legal database) and the second did not identify a name but gave a different extension of 117. Robo-calls which just repeated the same message over and over. Not verifiable online. No paperwork to back up legal claims. Scam.
Claiming to be a law firm but leaving an automated message and using no identifiable information about who they're calling. There are requirements for when a law firm contacts you and they don't meet them.
Scam call for sure. A lot of people I know got the same call. They also have a basic fake website for people who Google the number to know if it is fake.
I looked in the tenant directory at the building they claimed to be in (439 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5G 1Y8), there is no such firm, this is really a scam!
Big red flag is they don't say your name in the voice-mail, indicates it's just a scam to get you to call back and fall for their trick. You can answer and tell them to stop of course but who knows if that will do anything
This is a legit company. They have been calling us looking for someone that used to have this number over 7 years ago. Chances are if they are calling you then someone has used your number and owes money. Answer the phone and tell them to go away
They have tried contacting phone number various times in morning only..... No voice mails... Says legal documents sent... None came.... Approaching deadline to reply before court. Reported here and the local RCMP.
Robocall left a voicemail claiming that "deadline to respond to repeated attempts to contact" is quickly approaching and to call back immediately. They have called repeatedly even though "they can't find us in their system".
Received a voicemail from this number, the audio was choppy and distorted as if to obscure the voice of the person speaking.
Claims to be a debt collection service, yet I know I have no debts and owe no money to any company.
This is a scam caller. Know who you owe! These people aren't them.
Claiming to be collecting a debt. Complete scam! The address they list is not even their address it belongs to Axess Law. The directory for the building even lists Axess Law as the tenant not Chapter Law. I cannot even find Chapter Law in the directory of Law firms/ Lawyers the Law society has on their website.
