The company CarGuard Administration, mailed me a Final Notice postcard claiming I need to call 800-305-0859 within 5 business days to update the factory warranty on my 5 yr old car, and I am the 2nd owner. So my info must have been sold when I purchased the used car. I looked up Car Guard in the BBB & read the bad reviews. Looks like a waste of $3000.
I called because I received a “final notice” paper on the mail. After we talked about pricing, they kept pressuring me to pay. I said I had to talk to my husband about it first and they kept pressuring. They wanted money right away.
I received a similar card today. Decided not to call until I'd checked on the phone number. It appears to be a scam for auto an auto warranty. The 1st clue it wasn't legit was the card's final notice/warning of expiration date of existing warranty did not match the date (month and year) of my auto purchase.
I got a card in the mail from this number. I almost went through with it until I realized the card didn't actually list a name of a company so I got suspicious. Good thing I checked because I would've been scammed out of at least $100. I hung up on them as soon as they asked for my card number.
Do NOT fall for this scam. They have NOTHING to do with your factory warranty or it’s “continued safe operation”……they are preying on people, Hoping they assume what they are saying in the mail or on the phone, Is legitimate.
Sending post card to my mail, Saying" final notice", Their record indicates that I have not contacted them balabalabala, Of course I didn't, They are scammers! Why would I contact them!
Received a post card to call stating my factory warranty needed to be updated. I have been receiving numerous spoof calls per day from them too. As soon as I block one of their numbers, They come up with a new number. They think I own a 2015 Audi per the post card and the phone calls. I do not.
Received a post card today stating Final notice and asking that I call regarding an updated warranty on my car. Problem is I don't own or have I ever owned the car listed. Assume this is a scam of some sort
Just got a postcard with this number on it. It had the ride vehicle on it but wrong year (knew something wasn't right) glad I came here to check it out!!!
