Like others, started by asking to speak to XXXXX (account owner). Went into a spiel about offering an upgrade from XXXXXX (our provider) for less - 24 month no contract. Then said some strange things that made me believe they were not legit, such as not being able to confirm which plan they were offering (was it extending my plan? I just upgraded to a higher cost plan with better features, and they could not confirm if it was the same plan). They also asked if I'd called their office on the 8th,
Not sure if it’s a scam. Like others said she asked for last 4 of social and other account info logins. Said her name was Elizabeth Valentine and she gave me a number to call her back. I might give it to the internet provider and have them check it out.
I'm almost positive it's a scam. Similar story to others: said they were from my internet provider with a discounted rate for me. Asked for my info to confirm, which is where I drew the line. There's no way a company would call YOU and then ask YOU to confirm. They communicate in writing. Also.... There's no way an ISP would call and offer to have you pay less. That's never happened, ever. If you're not complaining to them, they're not going to make you a deal. You have to call them for that to
Answered as it didn’t say scam likely. Was XXXXXX Communications loyalty. Gave me a new rate on internet and did not ask for payment information. Had my information up to verify, including bill amount. I believe legit and I’m the wary type.
