Caution
It is a scam they are not connected to Direct TV I spoke with a tech from Direct TV he said people say I have the 3 year protection plan and they have to tell them sorry you still have to pay the $99 fee if you dont have the protection plan through Direct TV. I mistakenly called 800-231-5000 instead of the Direct TV tech # 800-531-5000 and it was ridiculous what a hard sell they were and they said they were Direct TV. THEY ARE NOT IT's a SCAM BEWARE

Caution
Caller ID also shows "800 Service" 855-231-5000. This is a scam!! Caller identifies himself as being with DirecTV. Regrettably, I fell for this scam although I always thought that I was "savvy" about this type of scam. Caller will ask for your DirecTV pin number as well as a credit card to "give you a full year of discounts on your bill."
