I logged into my TD Bank North checking account with my phone and they ask for a verification code before letting me log in, And was given a choice to get the code by phone, Or email. I chose phone, And one minute later I got a call from this number giving me a code that allowed me to sign into my account.
Received call from this number saying there was suspicious activity on my card from Brazil. Had my bank name and name as it appeared on my card. Asked for my zip code. Very convincing call. Gave transaction details and asked me to deny or authorize. When denied said my card would be disabled and I would need to call for a new one. Then asked that I press another number to speak to someone. Checked online simultaneously while on call. There was no activity on my card. Scam?
TD Bank has a built in security. To access your account, You put in a user name and code. Then you have the option to get a call to give you another security code. I just started seeing this phone number instead of the usual one. My bank did not notify me of any changes so I am suspicious of this Sunnyville, CA number.
