He said he was with ATT direct tv and a lot of people were complaining about their reception on their tv's and wanted to know if mine was on so he can fix it from on his location. I asked where are you calling from, he said California. His number is from Nebraska and will ask for your credit card info.
This is the third time I have received a call scam like this. This is a English/Spanish speaking male and you can hear other things in the background such as a clutter of dishes, etc.
Claim to be Direct TV. I have received numerous calls with this claim and they want your credit card information. They will sometimes claim that they are updating your tv boxes and that they can do that from their phone. They also will say that your tv may go off. This is a real fraud, all they want is you cc information to use for themselves then they sell it.
