Fake number. All safe reviews here are made by scammers. They will sound convincing but don't believe it. When you call the real TD number on your cards or official website, real TD staff will confirm this number is fake.
This is such a joke that the scammers are posting on here trying to convince people that this number is legit. The number doesn't even detect as TD; it will show up on screen as Bell Canada, so there's a sign of a scam. Call TD Canada Trust yourself and they will confirm this is all a scam. No matter how real they sound, don't listen to them; no matter how legit they sound, don't believe it. They will try to convince you they are TD but DO NOT give a single piece of info. Hang up.
I’m commenting as someone who works for TD, this is the line that we use if we’re working from home in order to take calls from our personal device. If I’m not mistaken it is being phased out, but fear not it is legit. I also had to look up the number bc I didn’t recognize it, only to realize the reason I had so many calls from here is because I was working haha
This is a scam, call display is Bell Canada, they claim to be from TD Bank however they need to "verify" your information, then start asking personal information. Never EVER give out personal information over the phone. They then offered to give me a number to call back... I told them I would never call a number back that was provided by them, I would only call a TD number that I know is real, not some fake number that goes to a fake call centre.
I can't stress enough, never EVER give ou
Total scam. They will be really convincing and try to tell you they are TD, but don't fall for it. Only call the real TD easyline, no other number they provide. Safe reviews here are fake too. Anytime it's a number you don't know, always be sceptical (the phone number doesn't even show up as TD anyway).
Don't answer this number. They really try to convince you they are from TD and pretend to be professional. Totally not true. TD won't call you out of the blue for nothing without explanation and try to ask you personal questions before at least telling you what is wrong. BS written all over this so don't fall for it. It's sad that there are total liars out there and even try to lie on this website. If you don't believe me, check the official TD website and check the easyline number and call. TD
Fake number. Claim to be TD when the number shows up as Bell Canada is your first sign this is a scam. Ask strange questions that you can tell is asking to steal your info. They will constantly try to tell you they are TD and act pretty slick about it and give a fake TD number to call back at. Call the real easyline number and they will tell you this number is a scam. Safe reviews here are definitely fake.
Called pretending to be TD. Asked personal questions clearly trying to steal info. When I confronted that it's a scam, they tried to pretend it was really TD and told me to go to my branch or call easyline (they must have known I was a lost cause for them). Of course TD confirmed it's a scam. Block this number. Not sure why there are safe reviews here, clearly fake written by someone in on the scam since they pointedly counter whatever the previous review wrote.
Do not believe any of the safe reviews written here. They are all fake and written by the scammer pretending. It is idiotic to suggest that it is real when the number doesn't come up as TD and TD confirms that it is fake. They tried to get personal information from you but don't answer any of their questions. TD would never call you out of the blue and ask such questions. Especially from a number that isn't a TD number and that TD says is a scam.
Totally scam number. Safe reviews here are written by the scammer to look current but they are fake reviews. Block this number already. Do not answer any of their questions and do not call any numbers they provide. Only call the real easyline number and TD will confirm to you that this is fake.
100% fake. Confirmed by TD that it is fake. Positive reviews here are made by the scammer who keeps trying to make new reviews looks real.
Number came up as Bell Canada. They wanted to ask me personal questions to verify my identity but I refused. They said if I'm not comfortable to answer, then I can go to a branch or call easyline. I called easyline. TD confirms that this is a scam number, it is not from TD and have sent a report to their security department to investigate.
I answered thinking it was a spam or fraud call because there was no caller ID but it turned out to actually be TD and advised me of options that are expiring today which a fraud wouldn't have known and after I told her I was aware she said thank you and hung up, no information was given.
I did not answer, but did try to call back. The number is not in service. Further research (including here) showed that it was a scam call impersonating TD, as many others have noted.
I haven't picked up as I've been on another call but they've called 5 times in the last 10 minutes with no voicemail. I think if it was legitimate they would have at least left a voicemail. The 5 calls is excessive and harassing.
This number called me twice in 2 months, claiming they were with TD bank, I had gone to the bank that same week and had no issues, no promotions nothing, so its 100% a scam, the second time he called he kept telling me there were issues with my account so I hung up and I blocked the number. I called my actual bank number and they confirmed it was a scam.
They called and left a message with my full name claiming to be TD Waterhouse. Gave me a 1877 # to call back. Looked up the number and it is not a TD #.
Didn't trust the message left from this number. After looking at the reviews, most of the positive reviews had the exact same wordings. It seems someone is filling the telGuarder site with positives by copying and pasting the same positive reviews just to get the numbers up.
Do Not Trust this Number
Legitimate - called from TD. Spoke with someone the day before and they needed to call me back the next day, this was the number on caller ID. It was the same person I spoke with yesterday, had to enter the telephone pass code to continue with the call.
They said it's margin call, I need to give back the money that I owe IN ONE HOUR!! Or they will sell all my stock. Somehow they get all my information.
I called water house they said it's possible they can DO WHATEVER THEY WANT!
Claims to be from TD, had my full name, wanting to sell credit protection on a mortgage. Definitely a scam. Did not sound professional at all. Stay Clear!!
Identified themself as calling from TD. I spoke with someone at TD the other day who told me to expect a call from TD with some information about changes to the terms of my credit. Legit number, called about the same info.
Legitimate -- TD wanted to verify a recent large transaction I did. I was suspicious so went to the branch, they confirmed the call was recorded in their internal systems. Both the voicemail the original caller left, and the TD branch I spoke to in person, told me to call TD back at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxto confirm the transaction.
The caller claimed to be calling from TD Canada Trust about a recent wiring transaction and it's urgent. I told her we don't talk about banking over phone. She left 1866-235-XXXX for us to call back. I googled it, it's not the official TD Canada Trust toll free #. Scam!
Came up registered as a Bell Canada # and person on the phone claims to be calling from TD. These number came up in the midst of a fraud investigation I had initiated after finding some suspicious activity. I don't use Bell so I didn't answer the first two consecutive calls but my boyfriend answered the third for me to let me know it's TD calling about my fraud claim. The person tries to get me to confirm something about my compromised account WITHOUT verifying my identity. He already disclosed
Will claim to be TD, Called the bank shortly after and they had no record of this phone number or a record of reaching out to me for feedback. They couldn't do anything because the account they inquired about was closed, But I'd still suggest not to answer this call.
I received two phone call from them around 5:50 pm, They were looking for my family member, They said they were TD bank. I told them to leave the message, The guy screamed at me in the phone said nop. So next day I called the TD branch asked them that number, They said they won’t do that, They said this is a scammer number.
Have had two calls from this number claiming to be TD bank regarding an online application.
I called TD immediately after hanging up on the caller and they confirmed they had not attempted to contact me.
Second call I let go to voicemail and they said they’d call back.
Definite scam.
Received a call from this number Nov 27 2020 the man left was saying he was calling from TD Bank about covid relief and wanted to talk about my accounts saying it wasn't soliciting that needed to talk to me about options. A scam, I called TD Bank and they confirmed this was not them. Be cautious
Received a call from this number Nov 26, 2020 the girl left a message she had my nickname and last name and gave a 1-866 number to call back, Saying it wasn't soliciting that needed to talk to me about issues with my TD Bank accounts. This is definitely a scam, I called easy web and they confirmed, No such a number in their system and there is no notes on my accounts of any issue or anything requiring attention.
This woman is absolutley a fraud and stole money from my bank account. Once I canceled my card she called back pretending to be from the TD fraud department and wanted to ask me questions to confirm details. TD would never do this, This was just this woman's attempt to try to regain access to my bank account. I am also getting huge amounts of fraudulent e-mails trying to gain access to my PayPal, Amazon, E-bay, And other membership sites like Costco etc. Be careful, And do not give out any sen
Definitely a scam. Called and left a voicemail with my full name. Asked me call back at a 1-833 number. Called TD directly and they told me not give away any information, There is nothing flagged on my accounts and it is 100% a scam.
Someone calling from TD but they sounded like a robot (weird inflections) and had my correct name. Asked me to call back at an 833 number. Definitely a robocall.
This is a scammer saying that they are calling on behalf of TD bank, And will have your correct name to, So people please be aware of this, And don't fall for it, They called me 4 times on Oct 26th/2020, Thanks..
This is a legitimate TD work from home number, The employees can authenticate themselves by email if need be. I was informed by the branch manager that it is a new platform setup. The employees are also aware that some people might think it’s suspicious, And are able to refer you to the branch.
Very convincing scammer called « priya » pretending to be TD fraud Center. Knew my first and last name and gave last 4 digits of a card that I don’t own. When I said I don’t buy it she confidently redirected me to call the number on the back of my card. Sneaky little cunt but still amateur league. Try harder next time.
A woman claiming that she is from TD bank and wants to discuss transaction that is not alarming but before talking about the transaction she wants to verify my identity through security question, Of course I refused to continue with her, When I tried to call this number later it didn't connect.
Got called from this number and answered their question. I then called back TD through their direct line to make sure it was a scam call and they confirmed it was legit.
