I want confirmation that this number is for Amazon. My server has charged me £81. 81 plus it’s service charge £16. 49 plus vat £19. 66 total £117. 96. I have phoned Amazon and they insist their numbers are all 0800 numbers. Please help. XXX XXXX

I had to ring Amazon twice in order to return and replace a faulty microwave oven that had arrived damaged and not working. The phone calls, Lasting 8 minutes and 16 minutes in all cost me £51, So a £169 oven in fact cost me about £220. How do Amazon justify these rates? I've tried to email them and complain but have got absolutely nowhere. Surely people should be made aware of this before they are encouraged to ring Amazon.
