I got this number from Luton Trading Standards website. It did not say that this number is a premium rate number. I've just got my phone bill and discovered my call to them about a dodgy car dealer cost me £49:82p. Can't work out if that includes VAT. I feel Trading Standards ripped me off more than the car dealer.
For what I thought was a public service this is a complete CON.
I contacted trading standards on the recommendation of CAB to report a suspected scam only to find I had been ripped off by them. I rang the number I was given and was not informed it was a premium rate number.
I contacted trading standards due to be ripped off by a company, Only to find out today, Trading standards have ripped me of £45 for the phone call. Oh the irony! No way did I ring a premium numners, Even if it were New Years eve! Who do I go to to complain?
I used this number as I thought that I was connecting straight to Trading Standards. Turns out that it is a connecting service but I cannot recall being advised of this. You would have thought that a Trading Standards Officer would have questioned this and ask me to phone them direct!
It was a 15 minute and 57 seconds call for which I have been charged an astonishing £27. 94. I dread to think what if the call had lasted for e. G. 1 hour! Surely something should be done about this!! Disgracef
Scam number listed as a free number for citizens advice. It connects you to the real number and secretly charges you for the privilege, So you have no idea it’s costing you a fortune. Got a bill for over £100 but thankfully Vodafone wiped the charge when they investigated.
A scam number that's listed as a freephone number for Citizens Advice, But is connecting you and charging for the privilege. Thankfully Vodafone are giving me a full refund, Otherwise it would have cost me over £100. Avoid at all costs.
This company has ripped me off for £60 in calls proclaiming to be trading standards avoid if possible I have a harsh penalty from your provider EE are very extortionate as they charge you on top of what the company is charging you
Scam number, My husbands bill has come through £64. 10 more than it should have been, Was supposed to be a free call to trading standards, Said at end of message we would be charged for the call.
This is a connecting phone call company that scams you as you’re connecting to trading standards, Considering the company in question I find the whole thing legal theft I will be reporting this number to the police as the consumer is not made aware
