Santander are clearly stupid, they write their customer service number as 0800 9 123 123, its very very easy to miss the 9 as your brain skips it because of the order for some reason, when you call 0800 123 123 it tells you the santander number has changed and is now 0900 123 123, this is a premium rate number, if you call it you are going to end up with a large bill......i clocked instantly that it was a scam, googled it and found this site among others. Im sure lots of low IQ people call thi

If you dail Santander customer service but leave the "9" out in error it diverts via this number at a charge of 65p per minute.

This happens when you misdial a Santander number and miss out one number. You are told to redial this number... Sounds feasible during Coronavirus crisis. Scammers

Caution
You get this if you miss dial the official santander number. I dialed 0800 123 123 and should have dialed 0800 9 123 123. Leaving out the 9 takes you to the scammer. Fortunately my BT mobile phone service blocks calls to the scam number.
