Appears genuine fraud prevention. They did ask some security questions and for partial passwords. When provided they were emmidiately able to inform me of fraudulent payments inluciding payments that I could see had been blocked, without me giving full access/ passwords to them.

This is most definitely a scam. They sent a message which stated someone attempted to use my card. I then received an automated call once replying to the text. It most definitely sounded like a robot at first but perhaps it was a person. Anyway, they asked me to confirm my name and then 16 digit card number. I immediately ended the call at that point because they would NEVER ask for that.

I called Santander (0800 9 123 123) and they confirmed they had been calling me on this number.

I work for Santander and this is our number we call out on for suspected fraud cases! A lot of our customers feel uneasy to continue with the call which we appreciate and advise them to call us directly. But sites like this do not help as people Google the number and this is the first thing they see. Can cause a lot of distress when it is genuinely Santander.

Could be genuine call from Santander about suspected fraud. However asking about birth year is strange way to approach security.

Had a missed call from this number today and received a txt last night from a different number claiming to be Santander saying there was strange activity on my account as I had been scammed three times before in recent months and they wanted to confirm if it was me making the transaction. Txt was genuine but not sure about this number calling my mobile

Scam Calls 25/05/21 Just after 08: 30 I had calls to my landline and mobile phone from this number, 08082 802 784, with a recorded message saying it was an important message from Santander. It is very worrying that these scammers seem to have both my landline and mobile numbers and tried contacting me on both.

Santander scam, Santander always send a text asking you to confirm whether a transaction is genuine before asking to call, Do not call this number it is a definite scam

It is actually Santander. Calling about a transaction that was blocked. If you're not sure or don't feel safe, Just hang up and call the number on the back of your card.

Supposed call from santander. Gave a number of birth years and asked me to confirm a year. Hang up. It is a scam.

From santander telling me of strange account activity and wanting me to contact them

Saying santander but don't speak saying not recognised scam

Called 3 times, Robot saying calls are from Santander, Confirm you are XXXXX press 1 (got the name correct) went on to confirm Date of birth, Then I stopped as alarm bells ringing to give more personal details. Don't answer!!!!
