A false message was sent saying an interaction had taken place for the sum of £13. 93 to a company called menshardysupport. Com which appears to be a legitimate site. The message said to phone a number if the transaction wasn’t made by us and follow up with a 3 digit code. It aroused our suspicions as the transaction was allegedly made at 4 am this morning and so we put the number they were asking us to call into Google and found this website which confirmed it was a scam.
This is a scam call. We keep receiving calls from this scammer when a particular credit card is used. We are not using this particular credit card now. Santander have confirmed that this is a scam call - it is not their telephone number
Had my Santander card rejected at one banks ATM today so used it at another bank (successfully). Probably checking out what happened but I didn't respond to their request to press any key as I assumed it was a scam.
Thought was scam. But I think it's a real number. Still never discuss personal bank details or transact money over the phone.
Santander needs to get alert to come down the normal route Santander texts down, Because it was really scary. I'm not 100% so I'm still not risking it (going down to the bank tomorrow)
