Called today - Asian sounding man said his names is “Jason Parker” I didn’t confirm my name or who he was talking to but asked who he was calling from. He said Dom & Gen about washing machine insurance. Said he’s accidentally taken a payment from our bank of £199 and needed the sort code and acc number to make a refund. No info given to him so got irritated with me! I said I’d phone the bank and D&G to check him out. He put phone down. It’s a scam!
Do not confirm any details with this number!! They called and seemed really unsure of the reason behind the call, when I pushed them for information he said it was to discuss a recent purchase, but then proceeded to ask for all my details.
I contacted D&G after the call and they advised me that this is not a number they use and has no affiliation with themselves, they have reported the number in question.
First call my mobile then when I don’t answer straight away my landline goes off. When I answered to see what it was about they said their domestic and general, asked for my name and address so I just said my name and said I’m not giving out anymore details, they phoned me so should know all of that. Then they go funny with me because they clearly know I’m not XXXXX, it’s ridiculous constantly pestering people.! If In doubt of calls like this Google the legit number for a company and phone them
Was called by this number this pm - 4th time this week. Heard a man coughing and heavy breathing down the line. Hung up, blocked and reported to police.

Pretend to be Domestic and General. Can tell you makes of what machines we have but when asked to confirm proof that this is a bona fide call, Such as models or ask for your account number, They claim they cant because of data protection!! Just received a call from an English woman. Said she was calling from domestic and general in Nottingham and wanted me to confirm my device information. I didn’t provide this information, Instead I said that I’ve been made away of people impersonating d&g. She then hung up immediately.
Received a call tonight from the above number. I could clearly hear the clicking as the lines were switched. Male caller introduced himself as calling from Argos and to discuss details about insurance I purchased not long ago. Then he really hard tried to find out what the insurance is about. At that point I refused to give him any information (if genuine call he should have it in front of him} and told him clearly that I suspect a scam. He hung up. Don't give any information to those people.
Too familiar female who wanted to check that my personal details on my dishwasher insurance were correct. When I refused and asked her to confirm to me what details she had on me on her system, She said ‘I think we shall leave it then’. Sounds like a scam to me, Don’t reveal your personal details!
They claimed to be insurance policy company. They wish to check my personal details as i am one of the customer. I refused & tell them I'm not willing to disclose my personal details. I request them to send me a letter instead. Be careful.
