Saga insurance are contacting me as the name given on the application to get extra details for the fake application. By contacting the number Sage investigates the application and starts the process to cancel the fake policy. You will receive a number of letters from Saga these will come by recorded deliver

Pretends to be Saga car insurance, not connected to the insurance online

Scammers- letters have typos, ask for bank details to set up direct debit, enclose envelope to return no claims evidence. Letters look professional but incomplete information on RHS. Repeat letters sent after 2 weeks ignoring them. Harassing my disabled brother and stressing him out. These people disgust me.

Registered letter claiming to be from Saga Motor Insurance informing that they were unable to validate the No Claims Discount. Letter gave the correct address for Saga but showed Registered No 732062. This number appears to be for ONCOLABS, a suspended company in Panama. Saga's registration bears no similarity. Research shows that this letter is a scam, attached to the above telephone number.

Had a registered letter claiming to be from Sage asking for no claims information for my car insurance. Not only do I not have car insurance with them I don’t own a car. All looks very plausible except they had my middle name wrong. Tel no given was 0800 302 9795

I received a letter asking for confirmation of No Claims Bonus proof from SAGA Motor Insurance with this number (0800 3029795). Very similar to the number on the SAGA website, but not the same. Was asked for postcode, and DOB and told to disregard letter - this must be scam to harvest personal data

Received several letters, from Saga Services Limited. I checked with the FCA and a clone site of the legit Saga appears to exist. In the letters it sent "requiring" me to update my details now that my insurance had been "transferred" to them all the details appear to be genuine, except the 08003029795 number. Double-checked with my own insurer just to be certain.

Letter arrived with basis details stating car insurance renewal. No dates of renewal or vehicle reg or details I've not had insurance through them ever. Clearly looking for bank details.

Also just received letter apparently from Saga thanking me for taking out car insurance with them and asking for my no claims evidence. Took out travel insurance with them a few years ago but that is it. Coincidentally? My car insurance renewal is in a few days time. The phone number on the letter is 08003029795

Like other people, I received a letter apparently from saga in connection to my car insurance. I have never had insurance with them. The letter appeared genuine, with genuine saga details – but the exception was this phone number. It’s clearly a scam
