Calls every single day and says the pitch so fast you can’t even talk. They constantly want to talk about “reviewing” the contract only after being with XXXXXX media a few months and when you tell them no they continue to push and call constantly.
When I ask to be taken off the call list they laughed.
Getting sick of it
Claimed to be from virgin, I just recently renewed my contract with them so wasn’t expected a call, clearly this was from a call centre in India, difficult to understand… something about giving me the best service… told them I was busy and hung up
I didn't hear a call from this number and they didn't disconnect and I ended up with a voicemail. Sounded like several women talking in Chinese then a male voice yelling 'QUIET' in english. Scammers!!
Nearly 20 calls this month with noone on the line when I answer the phone (robocall). One person did finally speak saying they were Virgin Media, And when I asked a simple question, They hung up on me.
As far as I feel these are harassing calls.
This number phoned up and left a voicemail but all they were doing was burping down the phone. I could here other people in the back ground. The person didn’t say anything
Virginmedia sales. Trying to sell me Sky Cinema for £10. 50 per month. Very persistent and didn't take no for an answer too well. No sale from me this time.
Its a huge scam they first say there virgin media then if you persist they then claim there 3rd party do some proper research before you say its genuine cmon guys your making people get scammed by saying its really them
Scam callers and telemarketers out of India...
It is NOT a number that is directly related to Virgin but is instead a 3rd party - DO NOT provide any personal / account details nor agree to anything, But speak to VM directly AND complain about the hassle.
This number has called me 3x a day for a bout a week now. I read on another site that it's a Virgin Media number but as I'm not a customer I won't be answering.
When I got the call I answered and said ‘Hello’ and it sounded like a Chinese women was speaking and said ‘hi, Can I speak to mr Charles? Then I hung up
Today being Wednesday 5th June 2019 is the third day on the trot this phone number has phoned my mobile. As soon as I answer phone & say hello they leave line open & say nothing for upwards of 30seconds then I hang up. Have checked this phone number out it's virgin sales marketing.
Had similar call yesterday, Despite apparently having my account in front of him, The caller wanted to know my address as a security measure. As the call was on my landline it seemed ridiculous for someone to say they needed my address to make sure they were talking to me.
And caller very similar to a definite scam 18 months ago. Virgin email or write to me for everything else so still not convinced it is kosher.
This number rang my land line & claimed to be from Virgin Media, A female said she had some good news for me & asked me security questions, I said email me the good news, She asked again for me to confirm security questions, I replied I do not give sensitive information to random callers & again she asked for me to confirm security questions, I put the phone down, Poor quality call with lack of understanding of the English language
Don't understand why they called my mobile. Implied Virgin Media and when I mentioned it they leaped on the suggestion but I am not convinced. Decided to end the call as poor quality and very hard to understand what they wanted.
Possibly marketing, Possibly scam, Mostly annoying.
It's genuinely Virgin Media but they ask you to confirm your personal details and security questions after they call you which is kind of stupidly suspicious on their part.
I think it's disgusting that Virgin media ring you to try and pressure you into buying their very over priced services. I can't wait until my contract ends and I can go elsewhere
Received multiple calls from this number. So much background noise I couldn't hear what the caller was saying, But it didn't even seem to be in English.
Phone is always switched off at work, However I received a voicemail (only), But no notification of a phone-call. When I listened to it, There was only sound of phones ringing in background but no speaking. Requested text message of number and Googled it as I didn't recognize number.
I keep getting calls from this wierd number, I answered it for the first time, All I heard was a scream of pure terror, Then a sort of slamming sound, Then a grunt and it hung up!
Cold callers scammers fed up 2/3 times a day home and mobile not going to answrr your calls so its them thats waisting there time i am so fed up and taking it further if it doesnt stop
It's a scam, They knew a lot of our details from virgin. They told us that we had used 840G of broadband data and started to ask rather personal questions so we told that we will hang up and call virgin back ourselves. They wasn't happy and tried to keep us on the line. We hung up and rang virgin ourselves. We explained what happened and gave the number that they rang on. Virgin confirmed that it wasn't one of their numbers and are looking into it.
They won't stop bugging you until you answer and ask you numerous security questions and claim to be virgin media yet if they were virgin media why would they be asking where I live shouldn't they already have that information
Answered and said they were virgin media calling to advise me of massive savings. Then asked me to confirm my adress, Which I advised they should already have if they are from virgin calling about my account? Advised that they have to know for security reasons. Politely declined- why should I give my people details to a random number that called me outbound to try and get a sell? Don't answer. Shame on virgin!
Vigin markington trying to make you buy more or saying that they can speed up your broad band if that's the case that should do it with out asking there customers. Don't answer??
17 calls from this number over the last week or so,
saying they are Virgin Media and offering very
enticing upgrade and a FREE notebook. Seems to
good to be true so I'm sure it is, Please investigate
and let me know, I'm a pensioner and certainly don't
want to be taken advantage of or scammed.
