It's a genuine call from UC department

It's a DWP masking number for when they are calling out. If you try and call it back, you just get an automated message saying that it was someone at the DWP trying to get a hold of you and they will contact you back in due course anyway.

People getting their ranties in a twist over nothing, it isn't a scam it's just the jobcentre.

I don't know if it's a scam or not, it does seem to be a number in relation to DWP, but why would they not leave a message? When I did answer, there was just silence, very odd, I guess if they wanted to contact me, they have an email address, they could text, and they could send a letter, I would not discuss any personal details with a cold caller.

JSA scammer number they're going around these forums trying to make comments to convince folks it's legit any comments saying it is legit are also scammers

Anyone saying its a legitimate DWP number without giving anyone a way of checking the numbers legitimacy may be a scammer themselves

It's dwp these people saying it's a scam are either stupid or trolling. Dwp workers work from home and the numbers route through this phone number. The reason why people can't find this number when they search it is because it's not a ongoing number.... Some people don't use their brains clearly.

I called the PIP number several times - DWP didn't answer and it keeps talking and prompting wrongly like a vicious circle and no one answered the calls to PIP, instead I was called by this number I answered but when I answered they cut off No telephone line, so Sigurdsson is from PIP but they are unavailable to answer the call or ask why they called me.

Called today claiming to be DWP. I asked the person to prove they were from DWP. They refused and said a message will be left in my journal and i have 7 days or my benefit may stop. I then asked 3 times what ia the call about and the person put the phone down very rudely. (i would of refused to carry on after this step as no security questions were asked which is very unusual) So i called DWP UC and they said no one had called me as their are no call deatils or info on system.

Not from DWP. It's a scam!! Do NOT give out your information!! I have googled DWP UC number and it's totally different. Also googled DWP number and it does not match!! If your unsure, write a message in your journal and your coach will contact you.

They will not stop and with me been deaf it still does my head in can any one tell me who it is as I've just told them in more or less words to leave me alone. PS but that was on my other number
