You can ring 0800 015 1515 safely as it is the actual Halifax Fraud Helpline. However *recieving* a call from this (or +448000151515) is an actual scam line.
Halifax will not call you on this number, do not pick up/call back.
This appears to be a genuine Halifax contact number - IT IS NOT!!!
I told the guy who rang, supposedly from Halifax Fraud Team, saying an attempt had been made on my current account card (which I hadn’t made!), that I’d ring Halifax to check. He said sure “of course” and that he didn’t want my details over phone. Rang Halifax who said nobody from their team had contacted me and to be safe, I cancelled my card.
Guy rang me back, I told him I’d just cancelled my card and he said his colleagu

Had a call from someone pretending to be Halifax, hung up before they could ask for any of my information and reported it to Halifax. Very scary, shortly before the call I got a text advising that someone has tried to use my card for £390 in XXX XXXX!
Me and my partner just over the last 2 days have both received someone on this number claiming they were from Halifax and there was someone in Liverpool trying to set up a direct debit! Halifax is going to get an earful tomorrow. Luckily both of us didn’t give out any details but someone needs to be teaching people how to deal with these people.
Scam number, claimed to be Halifax saying that somebody in Liverpool had used my account to set up a direct debit. Asked me how much money was in my account etc and wanted me to set up a new account giving them my sort code and account number.
I received this call after clicking on a text message link from Hermes the day before claiming I missed a package a needed to pay a fee. The message came from a regular mobile number and the man on the phone claimed he was from Halifax fraud team. Stated their was an attempt to fraudulently use my card in Liverpool. Hung up and called Halifax who confirmed the call was fraudulent. DO NOT GIVE ANY DETAILS!
I had clicked on a Hermes link 2 days previously to pay for a parcel I thought I had missed (XXXXX I know) then received a call from this number which is actually on the back of your Halifax card but after 30mins into the call something just didn’t add up! The scammers had tried to spend £1600 on Flannels and £600 on Harvey Nichols and because the transaction had been blocked they were trying to extra details and allow for this transaction to go through. There were people in the background spea

Do not give any info or payments to this number. They have cloned the number from Halifax and nearly made me move £2000 to an unknown account.
I hung up and called the Halifax back, And they've had 100's of scams on this exact number.
Had a call from this number (08000151515) claiming to be from Halifax, But in fact it was a scam call phishing for more information and a bank transfer. These scammers originally sent out an e-mail claiming to be from DPD, Saying that it was a missed delivery and to click on a link for re-delivery. One is then required to fill out a form stating name, Address, Date of birth and card & bank account details. I contacted DPD who notified me that there were no deliveries to my address.

Scam call claiming to be halifax fraud team, Under halifax site it says the number is legit but can be cloned as this man was asking me to set up a new payee to transfer money over to a new account. When in reality halifax will text you asking y or n to certain transactions then call about fraud.
It is a scam call actually. Not from Halifax when I check with the bank next day.
As my bank account was hacked last few days, I have been contacted by Halifax bank and suspended the account already. I have to go to the branch in person in order to get new card. At that time, I had received a call from the bank out of office hour (late in the evening) so when I receive this call again in the late evening, I thought it could still be the bank.
But I have double checked the phone number on
