Trying to get me to authorise payment to Argos from Halifax bank account.

Scam, pretending to be from Halifax. Reply YES or NO to authorise payment to Sainsburys.

Can confirm it is halifax, called them up and asked after trying to make a travellodge booking

It was Halifax checking that a transaction at Jaguar for £1 was real. It wasn’t. They stopped my card and issued a new one. I asked Halifax on Twitter if the number was real and they confirmed that it is legitimate.

It is the BANK of SCOTLAND Security check up, to make sure it was you that just used your credit card to purchase an item, well done BANK OF SCOTLAND.. ROBERT HUME ****

Genuine text from Lloyds bank but the attempt to take money from the account was actually a scam

SCAM. Apparently from Loyds Bank re activity on my card. I don't have a Loyds Bank Account. I'm also a little concerned by the messages on this website claiming this is a genuine number... It's definitely a scam and it would appear the scammers know about this site. This is FRAUDULENT.

I had a text from this number after missing a call from ‭0333 045 XXXXX, It WAS Lloyds bank informing me that some scum had tried to get goods. Thank you Lloyd’s

Claims to be my bank. First they will send a txt msg saying "your card was used" etc. It also as a link which YOU SHOULD NOT CLICK. This is followed by another msg saying we will ring you from this number..... Please do not reply

Fraudulent bank message, Got a message from same number that my normal bank messages come from followed up by a text from this number advising me of activity on my account. When I did not respond I then got an automated call claiming to be from my bank asking me to confirm my bank details - I promptly hung up

Fraud bank call, Interestingly the original text comes from the bank in my case llyods them this number then followed up by what is your bank automated telephone system but the telephone numbers are all wrong. Be very careful,!!!!

Texted me saying it was Lloyd’s Bank, I don’t have any Lloyd’s account. Scam!

Fraud was suspected on my account due to an unusual transaction. It was the bank asking me to contact them if i didn't recognise the transaction to contact them. Saved me a fortune!!!

Genuine bank call to see check transactions made on my card. Phoned my NatWest account and had to confirm purchases with the fraud department

Got a text asking whether I’d done an iTunes transaction yes or no, Replied got a number to call etc etc, Then realised like an XXXXX it’s an overseas mobile which is +44 7860 092482

Text from Halifax re fraudulent activity on my debit card.

Saying it was from LLoyds check account was not look up phone number got here now blocking.

It was actually my bank. They wanted to verify whether or not I was aware of a transaction made by my GF with my card (pizza night!). When she ordered online, Her details didn't match mine. This triggered a message and an automated call (0345 351 1685). Call your bank's customer service just to be sure!

Halifax Bank text at 20:35 asking if a transaction was genuine. Wanted me to text YES or NO. Looked dodgy so I phoned using number on back of bank card the following morning. My sister had had a similar text from Lloyds within two minutes of mine. Turned out both our card details had been copied weeks earlier and someone tried to purchase stuff online. Genuine call.
