Scam I've not been involved in any accident

Text message received about an accident I was supposedly involved in. Definite scam. Number blocked.

Why should those being scammed have to pay for a text to these scammers so that they stop scamming!?!?

Received a message "Our records indicate you were in a non-fault accident in the last 3 yrs, The average claim value is £2650. Reply Yes for more info. 2 stop txt Stop VJS".

Claiming I had an accident in the last three years. I haven’t and I am only 16. Claims that I can get £2630 back.

As the message states "Our records show that you have been involved in Non-fault accident...", Are they not trying to get money under false pretences?
