Seems to be the bank although the order I placed was cancelled after having to confirm the legitimacy of the order. No safe eating because the bank shouldn't be contacting folk from a mobile number

Safe number from Virgin money. Text received following a transaction made. Asking to confirm I had made payment. Rung virgin money and they confirmed they had sent message.

I suspected this number was spam but when I had a email from one of my accounts saying a payment had not gone through, i rang my bank XXXXX Money and they confirmed the number to me was from the fraud team at Clydesdale Bank. I typed in Y to go ahead with the payment while on the phone to Bumper and the payment went through. Bear in mind that it showed on my bank on line Autoservicesfinace. Com where it should have said Bumper like the other payments but they are the same company so just check

Yeah it is from the fraud department called them and asked about it bit weird that they are using a normal mobile number

This is actually XXXXX money fraud team, but it's beyond me why they would want to use an unknown mobile number to text people. Surely people who specialise in fraud protection would expect customers not to respond to unknown numbers claiming to be the bank.

Clydesdale Bank... Genuine from their fraud dept. I'd made a purchase online which was not authorised. Turned out the fraud dept deemed it might b suspicious so sent text with exact website and cash amount to confirm it was me. I missed it so Clydesdale deactivated my account temporarily. I called the bank and they said it was legit. WHY use a mobile phone number tho? I'd have defo thought i was a scam too.

It is Yorkshire bank, Now virgin money. Genuine text message. I had used my card at the time they said and checked it out before replying. Best to be safe.

I received a text about suspicious activity on my bank card from this number. It is legitimately the fraud department of the Yorkshire bank. I have now got everything sorted and apparently there are a lot of people who have had the same problem which is why they are flagging transactions from this American company as suspicious straight away.

If this is legit them the Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank should really take a look at themselves, Texting you asking to confirm details from an unknown mobile number. That is laughable

Yes, It’s definitely legit. Made a purchase for £4. 91 got the text almost immediately asking me to verify my purchase by replying with Y or N. I contacted the bank and they confirmed this was usual practice from their Fraud Dept.

Received a text purporting to be from Bank re suspicious activity on my account and requesting a text reply. It set alarm bells ringing and I called my bank's Customer service number. They confirmed that the text number is indeed the Bank's Fraud department.

Genuine number - i didnt reply and spoke to the bank directly using a different phone and a different phone number, And they confirmed it was automated from yorkshire/clydesdale bank.

Completely geuine, A text that said it was clydesdale, I didn't believe it but I checked in my local branch. Possible suspicious activity in my account. Regardless, If you're not sure, Go talk to them.

I had attempted to order from what I believed to be a U. K. Site and the payment failed twice. Shortly afterwards I received this text from this mobile number. All other communications I receive from Yorkshire Bank have more than just a phone number with a message so I contacted them direct - they do text and email me fairly regularly. I then received their automated message from their fraud team asking about the transactions. That was from their usual 0333 0459805 number.

I used my debit card online and then received a yext from this number asking me to verify it was me that used my card, I called Yorkshire Bank and enquired about the text and it IS a genuine text from the Yorkshire Bank fraud department

Clydesdale bank, Genuine. Informing me of unusual activity on my account asking me to confirm if I had made a purchase y/n. I checked my account and sure enough there was a fraudulent transaction made. I called customer services to report and asked about the text and they confirmed that they send them if the fraud dept detect unusual activity. Hope this helps
