Messaged me on eBay telling me to WhatsApp them basically made a story that they want me to buy gift cards and they will give me the money then they made a fake PayPal email and made me believe it was PayPal writing then I bought one £50 gift card and within minutes they blocked me after I sent it to them do not fall for it like I did

They wrote on ebay asking to go to WhatsApp. As a result, They asked for data to transfer money to a paypal account...

Right now trying to scam me. Account is from Malaysia created on eBay with zero feedback. Give number as +44, 7, 7, 4, 8, 4, 3, 6, 6, 3, 9. With image of a lady with a toddler in her arms; supposedly appeals to a "Mary and child" image. Looking for the PayPal account.

August 28 2020. I have just had exactly the same experience. Scam, Contacted via eBay trying to get me to messege them on WhatsApp. Received the same messege with same number from 2 separate ebay accounts. The accounts are created on the same day when they contact you via ebay. Thank goodness for this web site.

Obvious scammer. Claims that an 'offer' on Ebay is the same as a purchase.

Asks you to contact them via WhatsApp. Annoyingly this will mostly just result in eBay deleting all your posts and then having to reinstate them. But I imagine they are after people's numbers/ phone access and to send direct bank transfers which result in money laundering or theft. Just had the same scam message via Ebay on an 'offer' for an item I have listed, I've told them to message me normally and not on an 'offer'... Will see what comes back! LOL

Ebay scam - do not entertain

Scam don’t trust, They wanted me to buy £400 worth of amazon vouchers for their ‘cousin’ so I did some digging and realised that the email that was sent was faked they offered me £524 for an items that was merely worth £10 on eBay. Don’t trust them and don’t fall for it

Attempted ebay scam - be aware

I made a big mistake in falling for it and messaged them on what's app. I declined the offer on ebay. I'm worried now because they have my mobile number

Asked me to contact them direct on ebay regarding an item they bought, I did not recognise so presume they are a scammer - searched the web and found them reported hhhmmmmm sounds dodgy to me

They try to get you to contact them through email or whatsapp. They are based in Malaysia according to their profile but they're account is normally created on the day they make an offer.

EBAY SCAMMER makes an offer then requests you to send an email or contact them on what's app!
