Got a text from this number claiming to be FedEx - the link did go to what seemed to be their official website. However, the tracking number that was autofilled in did not match the number I'd been given, and they asked me to confirm my mobile number which I wasn't comfortable giving. Overall not sure if it is a scam or not, but always better to go to their official website to double check.

Expecting a FedEx parcel. Got this number saying I had a fee to pay. Took me to FedEx. Com had the lock for the secure site but something felt odd. Contacted online FedEx customer service agent who said I had no fees to pay. Complete scam, probably paying fees for someone else’s parcel!

I am expecting a delivery but didn't know if it was Fed Ex. Hit the link and took me to what looked like Fed Ex site but personal details did not come up. Tried going via web rather than link to Fed Ex and tracking number not recognised. Went back to my purchase order to find they use their own couriers so this was not the delivery I was expecting. It's a scam.

Message from FedEx appeared dubious so didn’t open the link, however I also received an email from FedEx detailing a package I was expecting telling me the delivery date, I updated the delivery date to a new date and the text message confirming change of delivery details was sent to the same mobile number as above.

Requesting customs duty be paid on item that had been ordered from the US. Spoke to Fedex and confirmed. Legit number, despite the URL within the text not working.

Had this a few times from 'Fedex' it's a scam. Avoid - do not click the link they provide.

I received a text from this number about a delivery I'm expecting. I always assume these are dodgy until I know otherwise, so I clicked on the link which clearly takes you to a genuine FedEx web page. It my well be that scammers are able to clone the number, so if you aren't certain that it's genuine then take the careful course and don't give any details away.

I got a text saying my arriving parcel from outside the UK is due an import charge of £63. I got my parcel two days before this text so makes no sense.

I received the same text, and yes it is fed ex with confirmation about delivery, I think the people who think it's a scam as soon as they get a message like this are people who have been scammed before so they are a little bit paranoid, this number a 100% genuine tho.

The reviews on here saying this is legitimate must be posted by the scammers themselves. Just check with FedEx website who warn of this fishing SMS fraud. Legitimate FedEx texts are always accompanied by a tracking number and an email so you can double check using FedEx website!

Had a text today stating I owed £75.96 in import charges. I thought this was rather fishy as the only thing I've had delievered via FedEx was delivered over 10 days ago. As for the other reviews saying this number is genuine, I can only assume they're less tech savy than most and have fallen for the scam. My advice to anyone reading this would be to block the number and wait to see if you get any emails or letters from Fedex as they'd be much harder to fake.

This does appear to be a genuine fedex number for delivery notifications It linked to a genuine delivery and allows you to reschedule or redirect the parcel. Interesting is it does appear at first sight to look like spam but is genuine!

Received a couple of texts from this number calming to be from FedEx. Nearly fell for it as I was expecting a parcel but I didnt click on any of the links, my parcel arrived, it's a scam.

This is a safe number. I was expecting a package from Japan, received an SMS from this number and like most I was a little dubious at first. The SMS contained the correct tracking number, the website was legit and had the little lock symbol in my browser bar. I also checked it with my avast website checked and is safe.

I was notified by this number about a delivery happening tomorrow. Perfectly legit, but maybe scammers are using the same number too?

Thought this number was a scam after searching it multiple times. I never clicked the link. But got sent another text saying delivery was arriving today and got sent the tracking number as well. So searched the tracking on the legit FedEx website and it was right. It’s just an unprofessional looking text. Obviously thought it was a scam at first but it turned out to be legit.

Daughter was sending two suitcases from Miami prior to her return to the UK, but was doubtful if the text was legitimate. Checked the FedEx website separately using the tracking number and found that it did indeed refer to her suitcases, so I consider the number safe.

It first asked me to reschedule my package and I ignored. Then I received a second one asking me to pay 53 pounds tax duty i checked the delivery status at the package was already in my city and I realised it was fake. I nearly fell for it.

I have received an SMS with the correct information about a packet I was waiting for. If you do not trust the link just go directly on the fedex website and insert the info.

This system could still be abused by a scammer with access to parcels in a warehouse though so I'd just say never follow a link on a text and go to the courier site directly and suspect everyone!

Then I received this text which I foolishly clicked and payed the £25 but the day my item was out for delivery I got a text saying it would followed my another £25 charge for customs? I received a text saying I owed £675 in taxes and to use the link to pay it. This was a legitimate text message, As not only was the link to Fedex's website (dutyandtax. Fedex. Com), But the parcel number matched one I was expecting from Fedex. (The item was an Aibo from Japan, They're not cheap and yes, The tax amount works out to be what I expected, Including their fee for processing it).
