Same here, Text after putting a gumtree ad on, Will now block this number

Same experience as many on here having just posted something for sale on gumtree. Number now blocked!

Wanting me to join an app to post one off my sales on. Must have been following a post I had made on Facebook or instagram. Would not tell me who they were

Just received a text in regard to my Gumtree post suggesting I share it with people in my town. Not going to bother replying as I've seen the comments on here that it is a company trying t9 get you to download their app.

Bogus company trying to get you to sell your stuff on there app they’re basically parasites living off gumtree

Text received quoting my advert on Gumtree, Then "this still available? Thought be helpful to share it with more people around (they put my town) :) " I replied with "Who's this? You're not in my contacts!" and of course no response. Then I looked the number up on here and found others had similar experiences. Why don't they just say who they are and what they want instead of worrying people. Very poor way to do business!! Booooooo!! Thumbs DOWN!

Don’t reply to this number it’s a company trying to get you to download their app. Not someone wanting to buy your item

This number is from Village. Co (a gumtree-like app) - basically contacting those on Gumtree in an effort to get them to sell and use the Village app too.

Had a text from this number after listing a wanted ad on Gumtree. Same as previous posters, They asked if it was still available and offered to share with more people. Seems odd?

Had tx asking if item i was selling was still available and that they could share it with more ppl. Didn't tx back. Seems dodgy?

Got a text from it asking if some thing was still available text back no answer tried to ring rings once and then nothing
