Gumtree scammer, Was selling Apple Watch, Wanted me to send it first and then sent me a fake email of confirmation of PayPal, Got aggressive when I said I wasn’t selling anymore

Tried to scam me on Gumtree!

This person claimed to want to buy something from me on gumtree said they wanted to pay by PayPal and send a courier so wanted my PayPal Name my email address and the collection address

Similar to the comments below. Was selling a pram and a text from this number started with a normal question of what was lowest price I would take, Leading to they would pay by PayPal then send courier. This raised red flag with me and googled the number.

Messaged asking if my pushchair was still for sale and what last price is and said payment will be made via PayPal and he asked for address and said courier will come and collect, My reply this is a scam? His reply what is the matter with you? How did you mean by that?

Contacted me wanting to buy two different items and asked for paypal address for both. Don't think he realised he had contacted the same person!

Claims to pay for your item via paypal and a "courier" will come and collect the things you're selling. Sends you an email that looks like paypal and says for you to send back money. DO NOT REPLY!

They wanted to purchase something from me on Gumtree and were saying that they would send their own courier and pay by paypal. I am aware that goods aren't covered if purchaser arranges own courier. As soon as i said no - i would arrange the courier they stopped correspondance. Just read below comments and they have done it numerous times before. Steer clear!

Same as Cabin Bed. Quite agressive questions and no answers to mine. Also disappeared after I said cash on collection. BTW If someone wants to use a courier that would be their cost.
