SCAM SCAM - I have just received a call saying they were from the Halifax and a transaction has been made in Liverpool and was i aware, as i bank at the Halifax said no he then asked a number of dodgy questions and whilst he was i typed his number in and told him that it was a scam, and he called me a XXXXX among other abusive names. Really upset my day please do not give these people anything

Received a text message from mobile number +44755264XXXXX "Halifax has noticed your debit card account number ending in ****0860 has recently used on 06-11-20 16:28 at Amazon for 128. 33 GBP. If the transaction was made by you, Respond 'Y'. If you did not make this transaction respond 'N' and a member of staff will contact you shortly." Replied "N" Then received a call from the number 0345730XXXX asking for more details for security purpose. Definitely scam!!!

I actually bank with Halifax so initially believed her until she mentioned transactions from "unusual IP addresses". She then texted me XXXXXX and advised that link was specific to me (yeah right!) - Chrome flagged it as dangerous and it was only registered a few days ago. I strung her a long a bit for fun, But she eventually got bored. Don't give her any info! Website reported to host.

Text from apparently Halifax bank, Informing us that the banking security number will be sent shortly and to ring this number for queries. I don't bank with Halifax. Looked up the number online and found it was a scam, So it is definitely a scam.
