Genuine. I received a text from TSB around midnight saying another text would follow from a different number. It came a few second later showing my recent transactions plus one I didn't recognise So I answered "no" via text and TSB called me in the morning. I'm always suspicious when someone calls stating it's the bank so I called back on TSB official number and they confirmed there was a fraud attempt on my card.
I received a text from TSB saying another text would follow from a different number and it did and showed a few of my transactions. I answered "no" as one of them was a duplicate with a 1 second difference. I then received a voice message asking for a call back on this number and to enter a code. I rang TSB general enquiries from the number on their web app and asked if it was genuine and was told it was genuine from the TSB Fraud Prevention team.
Automated fraud detection system number. This number will usually ask you to confirm whether you've made a particular transaction on either your debit or credit card. I thought it was a scam so phoned TSB on a different number, using a different phone. TSB confirmed the number.
Tried to call back and entered year of birth then I was told the date of birth I entered was wrong twice. Then I waited to speak to somebody and line was busy. Now I believe that to be a scam as if your call was from the Fraud Department then they would put you through straight away - I would think?!
I am fairly sure that it was a genuine call from TSB fraud prevention (I had made a transaction that may have looked unusual to them and they asked me to confirm the transition)
