I was having problems logging into my Mbna account as hadn’t used it in a while. I had to do security checks including them sending me a pin code via a phone number I had on file. This is the number that rang. My Mbna account is now unlocked and passwords changed. This is a genuine number.
Used for setting up banking phone apps. Don’t block the number as you will then get a ‘Security call failed’ message on your mobile phone when setting up the app and will be required to request another letter providing details of how to get you phone verified.
This is not a scam as some have said... People need to realise that numbers can be "hijacked" by others, so while some may receive a scam call from this, doesn't mean the comments calling this legit are wrong...
Genuine automated call from Lloyds Bank asking you to enter a 4-digit number appearing on your computer, Before they let you access your online account. Or it can be done via a mobile phone.
Not a scam, I wanted to pay my bank MBNA and this number called to make sure it was a safe transaction. I had to give the 4 digit number over the call then the payment went ahead.
i am a genuine person, Not a fake, Not a sammer.
xx
Genuine number, Lloyds/MBNA. You will only be called by this number by your request though (as a confirmation step), So if it comes randomly you should ignore it.
Legit number this isnt a scam number been with Lloyds for years never had a problem just people scare mongering as usual with legitimate bank phone numbers
When setting up a new payee for Lloyds online banking you are presented with a four digit number and asked what number the bank should give you an automated call on to enable you to repeat the number to verify it is you making the payment. I can only think that those reporting it as a scam have received it in error.
Annoying calls - 6 in 6 minutes. Automatic call. Starts half way through the message so not really sure what it was about. No identification of caller.
Genuine Lloyds Bank telephone No:
Normally use to contact account holder with verifying text or number to enter when using their online app.
Its cool, Used it many times when installing Lloyds app or making changes or additions to my account. Also used when changing from one mobile to another after upgrading mobile.
100% an automated contact from Lloyd's bank if you have just done a balance transfer etc and need to input a pre sent code etc. Just used said process. In theory should only be calling you after you have accepted this method of contact via the Lloyd's banking app etc
Lloyds Bank. You initiate call by logging into your account and setting up a new recipient for payment. Bot calls telephone number on your account and you confirm new payment recipient details by keying in 4-digit number.
This number belongs to Lloyds Online Banking. When you set up a New Direct Debit or Standing Order, It calls the number on file and asks for a 4 digit code which is displayed on your computer screen where you are setting these up.
