I got a letter with this number on and I'm so paranoid about scams, I called llyods bank on another safe number and they told me that is their number. Do remember, I was calling them as I would be more worried if you get a call from the number as it seems some scammers can clone numbers so if you're not sure... Call them back on a different number you have and ideally from a different phone if they've just called you as then it could be a cloned number scam and they hold on the phone and do a
Googled for Lloyd’s customer service and called this number, they asked a few questions then asked for the three fidget code on the back of my card, I know Lloyd’s wouldn’t do this so I hung up but this is the google result for their customer service
This is one clever scam and when you think you are calling the bank back, Actually, It sounds extremely genuine. Only reason I know is because they got my DOB wrong after telling me that someone had tried to make a fraudulent payment at argos, But I didn't even try to process the order
When I saw the number, It was as displayed above and the guy said he was from Lloyd’s and that I had some fraudulent transactions on my account - simply said not interested and goodbye, As I have the Lloyds Banking App, Which is brilliant and I simply checked my accounts and of course no issue! The reason I’m leaving this is that interestingly when I’ve checked the call back number, They’ve somehow been able to record it as the correct Lloyd’s number, So if I was simply picking up as a missed ca
Scam! They have copied the Lloyds bank number and are claiming to be from the fraud team. Saying 2 large amounts of money have been set up as a direct debit. After being on the phone for 22 minutes they asked me to set up an overdraft of £1800 so I said I didn’t feel comfortable doing that over the phone and I would go down the bank tomorrow to talk to them in person, He kept telling me that the bank can’t deal with this as it’s a high level of fraud and to check the banks number on the back of
This is a real Lloyd’s bank number however the fraudster some how spoofed the number and claimed they were from Lloyd’s fraud department saying they have stopped two large transactions going through my account as it flagged up as not being on my usual devices. However the names of the payees were known to me. Don’t know how they got these names. He sounded very legitimate and lulled me into feeling secure with him and what he was trying to do for me. After 40mins the culmination was that in orde
Total scam telling me a payment was going to go out of my account within an hour when I said I was uncomfortable they said check the number on the back of my card. I asked for a reference number and I’d call back. Any bank would have said yes she didn’t she said she can only give a reference once she processed the claim
Obviously they are managing to spoof the Lloyds number as this is a general banking number and not the fraud department.
I don't have a Lloyds account but caught me on the hop as I've just taken out an interest free balance transfer with Barclays so didn't click until they asked me to log onto my Lloyds account. When I said I didn't have one they then gave me a story about being agents for other cards and mentioned Halifax, Which is part of Lloyds group and I do have an account with.
This is the number Lloyds Bank tells you to ring - in March 2020 it cost me over £10 for a call of about 20 mins (and it was Lloyds inefficiency that kept me on the phone so long). By the time you add VAT, This one call cost more than £12!
MASSIVE SCAM. Be warned! Claiming that money taken, Fraudulent activity and try to move your savings money out of your account. Be warned! Proper slimy. Not llyod’s. Call them back yourself if unsure.
Keeps sending emails for a Lloyds ac quoting that we need to Lodge money, Also saying that we have set Up a New recipient If not to call them immediately, I did told to gang on 2 mins 14mins later I hung Up,..! We do not & never had an account with lloyds,
If abroad call 0173 XXXXXXX
Definitely a scam despite being the same number as Lloyds customer service. Do not call back this number, If it calls you do a manual redial or look up the specific fraud number in the Lloyds website (an 0800 number). I am trying to make my accounts etc secure after falling for an online scam by these people who later called me from this number claiming to be Lloyds fraud department.
This number called saying they were from Revolut and someone was trying to take £500 from my account. Needed the details of the card I had topped up the Revolut account with otherwise they couldn't, T refund.
Scam, Claim lloyds bank fraud team. Upon calling back seems genuine however when they call you it appears they are using that number somehow to appear genuine. Beware
Follow up text from 'Lloyds' after the first scam text. Basically text one was telling me to call as i had altered my phone number, This one was to tell me that they would sent through the new security details. Obviously to make one panic and call the first scam number.
A man pretending to be fraud protection team
Wanting to obtain bank details and personal information
The number is the same as a Lloyds number but I have been informed by the bank thrust number has been purchased by scammers to convince us we are talking to the bank! Beware!!!!!!!!!
