Hey, the bad news is if you see this number calling you, then probably your bank details had been compromised already. The scammers need your voice to proceed further. Even though the number is mentioned on the HSBC website, this particular one is CLONED. You need to call hsbc YOURSELF on the official fraud line from ANOTHER phone to deal with any hanging fraudulent transactions. Change security questions if there're any. Remember that the OFFICIAL HSBC fraud line starts with automatic options,
Today I made a transaction and some hours later a woman called me from this number. She was asking security questions about me. I didn`t answered her and I hang up the phone!
When I challenged them to tell me what was the last transaction made on my account they told me they’re not the ones to be verified, that’s how I knew it’s fraud. Please don’t trust the safe ratings they’re just rating themselves as legit. Always call the bank directly on the official number when in doubt.
Just had a call rom this number as I made a bank transfer to a new business which was of high value.
They left me an automated voicemail and a text with the value. Due to the value in the text i'm confident its HSBC.
A lady from India and the security was different to what I normally expect.
Got a call regarding a large amount of cash I had paid into an individual’s account to purchase a vehicle from a reputable garage. As I hadn’t actually got the vehicle in my possession they said they would refund the money back to my account until I had said vehicle in my possession. I am to ring them at that point & they will transfer funds immediately. Smelling a rat I logged onto my account & contacted HSBC who confirmed all was genuine & money returned to my account. They were just protecti
Received a text message informing me of a transfer that HSBC had blocked and asking me to call them to verify it. They performed standard security checks and then released the fund.

Saying he is from HSBC and there had been a suspicious transfer and that I needed to open my App.
Started asking me PIN number and everything and that I needed to freeze my current account and transfer all the money to new account which was all lie!!! Then soon after someone legit from HSBC called saying there’s a suspicious transfer and I was in a panic and couldn’t trust anyone anymore. I will never give information to anyone when receiving a call
They called me 3 times today and I have only answered the first one when the person on the phone claimed to be HSBC and said someone was trying to set up a direct debit using my account. I need to provide answers to some questions which I noticed it’s a scam after the second questions and I refused to answer. He then told me to google hsbc fraud team number and I said I will look it up on the official site abs he said no please use goggle. Strange! And then he asked if I use phone banking and I
Had a call from this number after i tried to withdraw on two occassions large amounts of money to a personal account. The payments didn't go through that evening so I was going to call in the morning but received a call from this number - the HSBC fraud team. The lady was based in India and the security questions were slightly different to what I am used to but she mentioned the two transaction attempts and gave me the value of each as well as the account I was making transfer to. I was called by this number following a transaction I made on my account. Sorry but as the person had a foreign accent I too thought it was a scam so I gave no details and said I would call the bank myself. I logged onto my account the next day to find that the money I had tried to transfer was rejected by the bank. I called them and they confirmed they would not let the payment go through until they had verified the transaction personally with me. This is a further safety check by the bank t

Is a genuine number from HSBC fraud line, Confirming a change I made to a standing order. However, Scammers can spoof this number so always tell them you'll call back on the number on the back of your card!
Its scam. An indian man pretending he is calling from HSBC due to a bank activity on my account.
He was trying to know my details, They already knew my year of birth.
I received this call after i paid rent deposit on openrent. Co. Uk
I received a call claiming to be from HSBC Fraud to check a mobile transaction. I said I wasn't happy giving security details over the phone to a caller, So he texted the details. I called the main HSBC number from the website. It WAS a genuine call, But I would ALWAYS call their known number as you never know!
Claimed to be from HSBC and had called saying there had been a fraud on our account but it didn't sound genuine. This is the second such call in the last month so even when you tell them that you're on to them they keep coming back. Funnily enough the first one sounded really good and I suspect would be excellent at telesales!
I had a call from this number. It didn't sound right. The approach sounded like phishing rather than security so I refused to give information. I have no issue on my account so beware I feel scammers are using this number.
