See who's calling

Just had a call from this number. Some very foreign woman asked for me by name and said she was calling on behalf of British Gas. I told her she didn't sound very British, and that I didn't have a British Gas account, and she hung up. We do have a British Gas account, but utilities are in my Wife's name. How she got my name I have no idea. Obviously a scammer, especially considering the reports on other sites.

Yup. Just after settling a British Gas account they called

Rang me straight after ringing British Gas. Didn’t answer googled it then blocked it.

This Fraudulent number phoned me after I had spoke with British Gas............. I use a landline, SO WHO IS TAPPING OUR PHONNumber was.... ES ---AND WHY??

Received a call from this number just after speaking to British gas involving payments. No message left suspiscious.

Received a call from this number within minutes of closing a call I made to British Gas on XXXXXXXXX. Caller said British Gas wanted to complete a survey, Press 1 which I did. Caller then said due to a technical problem survey could not be completed, I closed line.

I've just had 2 calls from this number. I could see the number on the phone. Knew it wasn't anyone I knew. After 1st attempt they then rang back 10-15 mins later. I'm not registered with them so not sure how they got my number. Guess it's been sold on somehow

03332004455 - British Gas enquire if I wanted to fit a smart meter fitted. I said not thank you. 03332029787 - British Gas. Asking for for a survey.

Call 03332 029787 (just a couple of indistinct words on Voicemail) came within half an hour of speaking to British gas.

My phone rang, And when I answered, I had a recorded message saying that the call was not able to be completed due to technical issues. I had a call off them yesterday, Asking for feedback, And when I tried to leave (negative) feedback, I had the same recorded message, Before I could even try.

Same as other comments: call came hot on the heels of a call I made to British Gas so it looks like it was them. Interestingly I don't recall being asked whether they could store the number, Which they must have done in order to call me back.

I would assume British Gas based on the below comments as I, Too, Had just recently come off of the phone with them.

I had phoned them it was British Gas as I was getting ripped off paying £55 a week in just my gas so phoned to sort it out and turns out I was paying someones debt and there giving me a refund sending a cheque between 14/21 days of under £500 so I’m happy just wanted to check the number as another number similar has been phoning me a lot

We had the same experience after making an appointment with British Gas it was a survey but they rung off. Why don't the 'IT Gurus' in big companies understand that the only time I am willing to do a survey is after the job has been completed to my satisfaction. I am NOT interested in commenting on their booking system when I don't know if that the work required has actually been done or if they have met their ridiculously wide time frame for appointments.

Also called about an hour after I'd called British Gas. I didn't answer and assume others are correct.

British gas survey after a call I just had

This number called me after I'd just came off the phone from a call I made too British Gas customer services. I didn't answer, I don't take calls from unkonwn numbers but I does tie in with what people are saying about British Gas customer service. Hope this helps.

Says it’s British Gas about a boiler service but I’ve not had any dealings with them in the past 20 years so I’m not so sure!!

British Gas survey after a call I had 30 mins ago!

Called an hour after I'd called British gas. Service survey. Annoying.

Had a missed call. Phoned back with my number with held. Recorded message said they were British Gas calling for feed back on a recent call. I haven't spoken to or been a customer of British gas for over 18 years. Number now blocked

When will these companys ever learn their calls are uneccasary and not wanted

Im getting the same group of numbers trying to contact me, If they can't contact me on this number, Then as stated, Some are related to life survey. I informed them I completed one - now try another person. and withdraw me but as you guess, No? Alan
