Scammers! I can also pinpoint where my details were captured, a car hire shop in Madeira. They obviously thought leaving it exactly 6 months would make it seem more legit before starting the scam with a text purporting to be from my bank with the last 4 digits of my card saying I’d be contacted in a separate text, this allegedly came from a 3 network number +44 7428 036224. When this was ignored they used the 0333 number, when blocked they kept trying home number instead.

Fraud. YOu receive text saying there has been a suspicious transaction and was this you. Yes or NO. You respond no and then it says contact this number which is Halifax Fraud Service. It is not. It is credit card scammer who will phish your data by taking you through security questions. Real Halifax Fraud Dept : 0800 015 15 15
