Follows on from an earlier call which stated incorrect information and was "not available" when I called back. This number answered Halifax but I have sufficient doubt to believe it to be a scam.

If financial institutions just publicised any numbers that a customer may receive calls from or better still, sent a simple message requesting to call the number on the back of the physical card we wouldn't have this confusion. When someone calls and wants YOU to prove who you are it is a bad sign. You might ask them to prove who THEY are before answering any questions.

This actually is Halifax fraud prevention number. I went into Halifax branch to check after I was called twice and they confirmed it to be genuine.

Spam, text off personal mobile number first, which led to numerous calls off this number. Knew name

I've had 2 calls from 03330 459568 asking me press any key to check for fraudulent activity on my Halifax debit card. I'd used the card at PDFCONVERT. COM an hour before, the robot call knew my full name and obviously phone no. I just hung up but need to check my Halifax account regularly.

I rang Halifax using their number on their website to say I’d received 2 calls this morning asking me to ring a specific number because they’ve detected unusual activity on my debit card. Halifax confirmed there is no sign of unusual activity and the calls are likely to be scam calls. The robot call knew my full name but didn’t ask for details just requested a call another phone number, I’d advise you not to call the number and instead go through the bank providers official number instead.

This is definitely Halifax I called the fraud team and they confirmed that it is their number but it does look strange when the original text comes from a mobile number

The call will read out your full name, And they will ask you to contact them. I know it's them as I was interested in subscribing to an American Green Stocks shares newsletter, And my Debit card was declined on two occasions. I'm grateful to the bank, As I would have lost a minimum of £126... Or even more.

It comes up az potential fraud on my mobile phone straight away even before I would pick up the call!!!!

I was asked for my date of birth and entered this detail before realising that dialling 0333 0459568 from abroad seemed strange and was going to cost me a lot of money for 11 mins. I looked the number up to discover it was a “dodgy” number. I’m gutted that I typed in my dob!

Received text from official Halifax number saying that I will receive an SMS from another number to confirm recent activity. Then received a text from an 07 number asking about a payment, Which I had not made. Do not respond. This number persisted to call me and ask for personal information. Do not respond. They were also in conjunction with 07860 XXXXX
