I got a call this morning as my card was declined doing a purchase, so i logged on to my bank and got their number through the online banking, I asked if this number belonged to them and it does.
Got a text 10pm the night before from a number that comes up as Lloyds that I would receive another text from them. Then a random 077 number texts me saying that my Lloyds card ( they gave the last 4 digits) was used to press yes or No if it was me or not. It says don’t call us, this is the best way to rectify your account. I haven’t lost my card as it was on me and I was at home so Of course I called the frauds department but they had an hours wait and I was on hold for 30mins. So I suspended m
Definitely not Lloyds had this confrontation from their Twitter help team. They are getting better at knowing names and such but their fraud team don’t use automated calls for that!
I made five transactions on line within minutes and it was Lloyds bank checking it was me using my card.. Lloyds bank are always quick to contact you if they think your card is being misused
Said they were from Lloyds, Knew my name, Last 4 digits of my card and the last transaction I made on my card. Very convincing and a little frightening that they have my details. They called both my home and mobile number, I hung up on all occasions and will call the bank myself. Very concerned where these scammers are getting their info!!
Received a text from 'Lloyds Bank' advising of fraudulent activity in my account. They showed the last 4 digits of my card too. Seemed very authentic. Called this number and went straight to a typical 'in a queue' message/music.
Gut feeling made me hang up and check the number online to see if genuine Lloyds and found it listed on here. Very convincing scam!
