Shell Energy wanting to fit a smart meter, Unfortunately they don’t understand the word NO. Have now blocked. I would advise anyone who doesn’t want these types of calls never to give any company your home number, When I arrange my energy etc I only ever give them my mobile so I can easily block their number if I want too, Works like a dream every time, I have so many blocked numbers on my mobile and never any problems with our house phone.

Had 6 calls in the last week from this number, I've answered 3 times and each time I've said I'm not interested in having a smart meter. Just got off the phone to a lovely chap who has said he's taken my number off the list (we'll see) - they've all been friendly and polite, They have a job to do after all but I don't want a smart meter whilst I have a choice.

8 calls ref to claiming to be sms on behalf of shell energy trying to arrange installation of smart meter. Pushy foreign female accent. My number is listed with the TPS but they still keep calling. Needs to be prosecuted ASAP.

Missed text message. Came on here and see it must be Shell re-Smart meters. They have sent a number of emails prior to this - seems to come in waves, Then nothing for months, They all seem to do this, As Scottish Pwr was a pain before Shell. I ignore or screen the calls.

If you are with Shell Energy and have mentioned that you would like a smart meter installed then you will be contacted by these. If you miss the call ring them back. Legitimate call no problem

Mobile buzzed: didn't answer it. I see here that it is for Smart Meter, And I am now with Shell energy. I have put the number on the screened list so that I don't hear the mobile. I do not want a Smart Meter. The property managers (flate) previously stated they could not be installed.

They are looking to have all customers install Smart Meters by August in the UK. Expect an increasing frequency. I should note they are NOT cold calling, The policy is everyone has to move to these so it is a legitimate call and you should answer. I would guess failure to adopt the smart meter would automatically move you onto a more expensive tariff after the cut off date.
