They want me to have a smart meter but I have told them many times that I do not want one and if I do I will contact the utility company direct. I have asked them to stop calling me but they take no notice, so I have now blocked the number.
Shell Energy wanting to fit a smart meter, Unfortunately they don’t understand the word NO.

I would advise anyone who doesn’t want these types of calls never to give any company your home number, When I arrange my energy etc I only ever give them my mobile so I can easily block their number if I want too, Works like a dream every time, I have so many blocked numbers on my mobile and never any problems with our house phone.
Ive been receiving calle from this number while i was out of the country and when I come back, I answerr to a call and they immediately hang up!!!

Had 6 calls in the last week from this number, I've answered 3 times and each time I've said I'm not interested in having a smart meter. Just got off the phone to a lovely chap who has said he's taken my number off the list (we'll see) - they've all been friendly and polite, They have a job to do after all but I don't want a smart meter whilst I have a choice.
Installing smart meters on behalf of Shell energy. Ringing at least 2 times a day and also spamming with text messages & emails.

They are a nuisance they keep calling even when you say you are not interested. Even if you are interested they ask a million questions and never get back to you with a date!
Sick to XXXX with calls from this number. Don't want a smart meter. Have never asked for a smart meter. Husband told them where the could put their smart meter- very painful! How do I block the number from my landline? Help!!

My number is listed with the TPS but they still keep calling.

Missed text message. Came on here and see it must be Shell re-Smart meters. They have sent a number of emails prior to this - seems to come in waves, Then nothing for months,
They all seem to do this, As Scottish Pwr was a pain before Shell. I ignore or screen the calls.
If you are with Shell Energy and have mentioned that you would like a smart meter installed then you will be contacted by these. If you miss the call ring them back. Legitimate call no problem
SMS for Shell energy insisting I arrange an appointment to get a Smart meter installed.
You are not obliged to have a smart meter fitted - I am waiting until next generation smart meters come online, Which remain smart when you change supplier
Mobile buzzed: didn't answer it. I see here that it is for Smart Meter, And I am now with Shell energy.
I have put the number on the screened list so that I don't hear the mobile.
I do not want a Smart Meter. The property managers (flate) previously stated they could not be installed.
They are looking to have all customers install Smart Meters by August in the UK. Expect an increasing frequency. I should note they are NOT cold calling, The policy is everyone has to move to these so it is a legitimate call and you should answer. I would guess failure to adopt the smart meter would automatically move you onto a more expensive tariff after the cut off date.
Asked for a deceased family member and had their pitch derailed when I said No! In response to their "may I speak to" question. About their fifth try this month as well.
