Definitely not the government. Foreign accent called my number instead of my wife’s who had been abroad. Mentioned number being sold on. Asked year of birth but was willing to prove who she was. Line was terrible, delayed and sounded like she was in a bathroom

Guy sounded like he wanted to sell me a Windows antivirus for my computer, said he is from NHS track n trace but wouldn't convince

Yes, yes. Unfortunately the lady who called me was speaking English very poorly. It is hard to know whether she was a nurse or a nhs officer or a scammer. She got sensible details from me, but overall i think it was a genuine nhs worker i found this phone call very distressing and not informative at all.

Genuine number. I think many people commenting here are somewhat disconnected from reality. If you arrive from an amber country you have to fill in a form on a website that clearly states that you will be contacted and the information can be asked for.

Started receiving calls from this number on day 1 after arriving in UK from the US. When I ring back get an recording claiming I’ve been fined?!? No other information or guidance. I’ve bought my test kits and have been self isolated.

A strange woman, either XXXXX or speech impediment asked if I wanted her to talk in English. Said she was part of track and trace and I should pay for COVID test. I have done them and they are on NHS system so I hung up

It's genuine. Different call centres are calling to ensure that people who have been abroad and need to isolate, are in fact doing so. ALL they ask for is your YEAR of birth, nothing more. Be polite to these people... They are doing their job!

Stated calling from NHS, however couldn't pronounce my name 2nd call in 2 days. I stated I wasn't happy verifying personal data or sharing with third parties. Last call 30 minutes after another person visited my house in person asking to see and photograph my ID. I asked to see his, he produced a door supervisor card for working in retail shops, I stated this doesn't state NHS or the Government and asked if I could take a photo of his to prove his identity he refused. Someone called claiming to be the NHS Test and trace, and the first thing she did was to ask me to provide my birth date. I told her I don't provide personal details over the phone to strangers, after a few angry comments from her and a threat to be reported she hanged up.

I really hope these weren’t government officials. Beyond XXXXX if they are and too think my tax money is being spent on these morons. Asking me if I’ve booked a day 2 and 8 COVID test. Told him if coming from Portugal you only need day 2 test... This is something he wasn’t aware of and had to check with his supervisor. Than asked me if I’m quarantining, again told him no as coming from a green list country you don’t have to. Again he was not aware of this. Who is training these staff and worrie

Fed up with these callers and O2 should do more to stop amnoying calls

Call received to check if I was following self isolation rules after coming in to the UK. Very unprofessional and rude people, hard to understand their english if you ask them something you will be ignored. Also sometimes they calling but hang up immediately so how Am I supposed to pick up the call? They don't even leave a voice mail. This is harrassment!!!! I'm self isolating I paid for the tests, I follow the rules after all this I don't have to be harrassed.

Confirmed it's safe on 06/05/21, they called me to inform how to quarantine after coming back to the UK. They only ask for your year of birth.

Called me once a day when I arrived into the country to make sure I was in quarantine and to check if I'd taken my tests. They dont ask for personal info apart from year of birth.

This morning after I arrived UK. Missed the call by 1 min, called back immediately and the auto generated number stated that I have been fined. Try to call back multiple times but no answers, could not find another number to call as well. ps, have not left the house

Very rude caller who instead of saying who he was asked me my date of birth and when I asked who was calling he said social services. No clarification at all just wanted date of birth for a start. When I expressed my doubts as DOB is sensitive info, He said rudely you are not cooperating so I will hang up' and that's it. Need to employ normal people there. GDPR exists but not for some

They just want to check that you are legally self-isolating following international travel. It’s official and legitimate. All you morons who say otherwise need mental help.

Threatening they persuade you to pay for COVID testing and ask you to pay for £200 pounds for the each test.

The caller claimed he was from UK Government I asked for verification and he refused. I will simply not answer phone calls. 57% of people here reported it as scam. God help us if its a scammer that uses our personal information to access our bank accounts..

UK Gov quarantine check - the number is on the Gov website under this link XXXXXXXXX. Caller was really friendly, I travelled from South Africa so it was helpful to have the specific info on that

Missed the call, Got an automated voice message from Self Isolation government team" and they said they will call back tomorrow my assumption it's just a scam because the number refers to Scottish Young Carers Services Alliance. C/o Carers Trust Scotland nothing to do with self isolation, But the q is : how could they know that I am supposed to self isolated?
