Stop spam calls

Asian man asked for me by name wouldn't say who he was and and put the phone down on me when I said I was caring for the person he called!

SO annoying!! I usually don't answer the phone when an unknown number phones but the odd time I do answer this there is nobody there. Why do they do this??

Unsolicited, 3 times a day, Refuses to give address, Unaware of illegailty of unsolicited calls...

Wants to know what brand of washing machine I have and wouldnt tell me why, I wouldnt tell him and he got very stroppy, End of call.

Hangs up when answer phone cuts in.

This number is calling our land line at least 3 times a day and hangs up as soon as the phone is answered - is there anything we can do to block it - we're finding it troublesome as we are both older people and don't want to wind up with a large bill for ringing the number back. We are on the call blocking list and for the most part the service works but this number keeps getting through.
