Every day they call so I answered this time, Said he was from the national grid and wanted a meter reading, So I told him to call back later meanwhile I phoned EDF and they said I was right to foll0ow my instinct, It's a scam trying to get you to change suppliers.
The "electric" company, Apparently they need my meter readings to make sure I'm on the best prices, And I should have a pen and paper handy, I asked why as we have smart meter and they can read it themselves. Then I'm asked what I'm paying for my electric, I have no idea lol - we use a broker. I was actually in the middle of moving premises as the call was going on, Told them it wasn't a good time, Good bye and hung up. They then spam called 6 times in a row following this, Got so annoyed I told
Scam caller purporting to be from the energy complaints dept. Called back as soon as I hung up first time and talked over me constantly. Just told them under GDPR rules they are not allowed to call again and hung up - seemed to do the trick... For now
