Call received from the business I had just placed a Deliveroo order with who were phoning to check a substitution with me and definitely were the business I’d ordered from, not a scam.
I didn't answer as I thought it was a nuisance call. This number rang twice in a row and at the time I had just placed an order on the Deliveroo app. When I received my drinks there was a hand written note with my name on it to say they were sorry the item I had ordered was out of stock but they sent a similar one. Now I know this was Deliveroo calling.
It was the restaurant I ordered from calling through Deliveroo to let me know they had run out of something I ordered. I've had another restaurant call through the same number before. Completely safe.
It's literally the restaurant calling through Deliveroo about your order. I just ignored it 2 times and then finally answered and it was the restaurant saying sadly there was a problem with my order but they could offer me something else. Certainly not a scam don't worry.
Got 2 missed calls and saw others had said it was Deliveroo, So I called back & it put me through to the restaurant I was waiting for an order from. They gave me options to be able to substitute an item I'd ordered that was not in stock. Safe number.
This is NOT deliveroo!
They called me at 2am 4 times despite me not ordering. I called back 6am and it went through to a Vodafone voicemail for an 07 regular mobile number in the UK.
It may seem like deliveroo when the scammer is operating, But it is not! Deliveroo would not use a regular UK mobile number by any means!!
Voicemail left and I could hear in a background a man telling of some customer saying you definitely registered with us on blah blah date. It is definitely one of those companies who will keep calling you and calling you and will never stop untill they ll sell it to someone else to do the same
The comments claiming this call is from deliveroo are fake.
It's a Tanzanian number. Why would Deliveroo, A British online food delivery company, Be calling Britain using a Tanzanian number?! It's a scam. Answer at your peril.
Confirmed my name and then they said I'm at 'x' house number' and road and that my postacode was xxxx XXXXX (all correct). Was that right? I told him I wasnt going to confirm anything anything until I knew who he was and he hung up.
