This number called our business asking for a reference number on our electricity bill. When I said I was unable to give this to them at the moment but was happy for the supplier to send someone round to check the meter number he hung up? This has happened before but I had not checked the number. I do not know if it is a scam - it just didn’t seem right. He said he had my number. But wanted to confirm it. Is that normal?

Caution
Female voice claiming that I had a car accident. Then said, Have I had a car accident in the last 18 months. When I said no, She hung up. I phoned back for further information. The automated system identifies as 'Road Care'. No one available to answer. I was on a FaceTime call when this number phoned. Does anyone know how they got my number?
